Meet Our Team

Jim Baker

President & Owner

Jim Baker is the Owner of Florida Coast Contracting & Roofing, formerly ACC MasterCraft Roofing Contractors. Jim has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, owning and managing various restaurants earlier in life. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, he fell on hard times and began exploring other avenues of income in different industries, where he eventually found the roofing and construction industry while working in Colorado. Jim worked in the industry in Colorado for about a year, then followed the owner of that company to Florida where he continued to work and learn everything he could about the industry. Eventually, when the owner of the company he worked with moved on from Florida, Jim decided to stay and start his own roofing company, thus ACC MasterCraft Roofing Contractors was born. Jim has been operating in the Southeast Florida area for over 15 years and expanded operations to the West Coast of Florida in 2017. With the expansion of the company to cover the entire South Florida area and both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, Jim decided a name change and fresh look would be beneficial to the company and fully encompass everything the company has to offer. Jim works hard everyday for this company he built, and for his customers, because he knows what it is like to deal with the unexpected.

Matt Baker

VP of Operations and Sales

Matt is the only son of owner Jim Baker. Originally, when Matt went off to college he planned to study business, but eventually discovered the Fire Service and his passion to help those in need. Matt has worked in Emergency Services for about 20 years, in both Arizona and Florida, and continues to do so even now. Matt moved his family to Florida, from Arizona, in 2011 to help his dad manage and grow the company, and while he learned the ins and outs of the roofing and construction industry, he became certified and hired as a Firefighter in the State of Florida. When Matt isn’t on shift helping members of the community in need, he is working with his dad at Florida Coast Contracting & Roofing, formerly ACC MasterCraft Roofing Contractors. Matt primarily acts as the company’s VP of Operations overseeing sales and jobsite management. His passion to help others often comes to play in his role with the company, as he ensures that the customer’s needs are taken care of.

Kimberly Baker

Director of Public Relations

Kimberly is the wife of Matt Baker and plays a vital role at Florida Coast Contracting & Roofing, often being the force behind the scenes, ensuring smooth operations. Holding a B.A. in Communication Studies from Arizona State University since 2005 and a Masters in Business with a specialization in Business Leadership earned in 2016, Kimberly’s academic background perfectly aligns with her responsibilities within the company. Her journey with the organization began shortly after her graduation when she joined forces with Jim Baker, marking the beginning of her tenure at what was formerly known as ACC MasterCraft Roofing Contractors.

Kimberly’s expertise in communication and business leadership is instrumental in her management of the office operations and in addressing all customer inquiries. As the Director of Public Relations, she not only represents the “face” of the company but is also the primary point of contact for customers throughout the duration of their projects, embodying the company’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

In addition to her substantial contributions to Florida Coast Contracting & Roofing, Kimberly is a proud member of the National Women in Roofing (NWIR), a 501(c)6 volunteer-based organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of women in the roofing industry. This esteemed organization supports women in the roofing industry across all facets, including manufacturing, design, installation, and management, among others. NWIR’s core pillars—networking, mentoring, education, and industry recruitment—reflect Kimberly’s own values and her commitment to fostering professional development and inclusion within the roofing sector. NWIR’s inclusive approach also extends to male “allies” who advocate for women’s participation in the industry, further exemplifying the collective effort to enhance the industry’s professionalism and inclusivity. Kimberly’s involvement with NWIR highlights her dedication not only to her personal and professional growth but also to the advancement and betterment of the roofing industry as a whole.
